About Us
For over 30 years, Nancy Gelbard has managed and implemented the most challenging public health and education programs including:
• school health;
• nutrition and physical activity;
• obesity prevention;
• maternal, child and adolescent health;
• after school programs; and
• health promotion and prevention programs.
Nancy launched two statewide programs that have received national recognition – California Project LEAN and School Health Connections.
Partnerships
Nancy has worked with many organizations as they build or expand programs, including:
• California Department of Public Health;
• California Department of Education;
• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention;
• Strategic Alliance for Healthy Food and Activity Environments;
• local health departments;
• county offices of education and school districts; and
• non-profit, membership and voluntary organizations.
